Papel y Pixel.
The start of a project to bring design and printing closer.

Independent professionals from the sectors of design, communication and graphical arts at a national level met at the start of 2012 to offer an answer to a shared concern: to strengthen and improve the step there is between the creation of a communication and its design an application through the graphical arts, that is, from the intangible form of an idea and a design to the tangible form of print. Papel y Pixel (Paper and Pixel) was created for this purpose.

After various meetings and a lot of teamwork, the first edition took place on 15th and 16th June 2012. The expectation created around the event honoured us with the presence of design professionals from Biscay, Guipuzcoa and other provinces and nationalities.

We started in Bilbao...

TALKING ABOUT PRE-PRINTING

TALKING ABOUT PRE-PRINTING

The first session took place in Bilbao (Auditorium of the Emilio Campuzano Institute) where different talks were given related to pre-printing and final arts, offered by professionals from the sector and also aimed at communication and design professionals.

We continued at Otzarreta...

HAVING A LOOK AT SOME FINISHES

HAVING A LOOK AT SOME FINISHES

The second session was held at our installation in Zarautz. During this second day there was, in addition to a talk entitled 'Standard formats vs. special formats and finishes' and an exhibition of different works, a presentation and demonstration of virtual photography and augmented reality, which caused the admiration of all those present.

Ñam Ñam...

PINTXO - POTE TO END THE SESSIONS

PINTXO - POTE TO END THE SESSIONS

To round off these sessions a pintxo-pote (drink + snack) was organised in Zarautz, a moment that the attendees used to exchange business cards, opinions and to forge new professional relations.
